We were fortunate enough to discover on a walkabout after a cruise and WOW!!!
The staff is wonderful and EXTREMELY knowledgeable and friendly! A place that we would frequent if we were residents!

If you want to enjoy a relaxing, enjoyable and entertaining evening come down to Hendley Wine Market!! This is a great place to enjoy a flight of wine or special drinks while listening to amazing live entertainment.

The staff is friendly and customer centric. The place is quaint, cozy and very relaxing. Bring your family, friends and out of town guests and enjoy this wonderful place.

The location is perfect, enjoy cooling winds in the evening outside or you can enjoy ice cold A/C indoors surrounded by friendly people.

Ordered a Sicilian sandwich and was very disappointed. It seems the cheese and spicy mayo just does not pair well. Also the cheese did not seem melted enough as when we opened the sandwich, we could still see the shreds. Adding to the low rating was the service. First off, any place that wants you to tip for stand up counter service or before service is rendered automatically gets one star. Businesses have to end this practice of shaming customers into subsidizing their employees income. You want your employees to make more? Pay them more. Now for service, we ordered the sandwich with no peppers, and my brother in law ordered the same with peppers. When we were given the sandwich, the employee asked who had no peppers and gave me mine and the other sandwich to my BIL. My BIL immediately tore into his as I'm realizing I was given the one with peppers. Too late to trade. I went inside to let them know what happened and was offered another sandwich to be remade. Well, this took just as long as the first one to be made and my BIL was finished before I even got my replacement. I had to go inside to check on why it was taking so long. Also, I had to go inside again to get napkins myself. This is why the practice of tipping before service has to end, because there was no way I was tipping for this service.

During our recent visit to Hendley Wine Co. in Galveston, Texas, we indulged in two mimosa flights, a charcuterie board, and the Avenue B sandwich, and everything was incredible. The mimosas offered a delightful variety of flavors, each one refreshing and perfectly balanced. The charcuterie board was artfully arranged with a selection of high-quality meats and cheeses that paired wonderfully with our drinks. The Avenue B sandwich was a standout, featuring fresh ingredients and robust flavors that left a lasting impression. The ambiance of the historic Hendley Building added to the charm of our experience, making it a memorable outing. We came for tastings on a quiet Friday afternoon. The wine was great! My husband and I and another couple each had a flight. The owner was very attentive and shared knowledge of wines and other great wine spots.

This is an excellent choice for all wine enthusiasts, and anyone else looking for a break from the usual Historic District tequila or beer! Owner David and his partner Copeley make you feel right at home, offer excellent service, recommend various wines based on what you like, or what you want to discover. Very personable! We tried their chili, which was top notch, and would be comforting in this cold weather for sure! Highly recommend stopping in, you won't regret it!

Came in off a whim, just stumbled in when I saw the sign outdoor that said “dog friendly”! I brought my pup to Galveston for the first time and was worried I wouldn’t be able to enjoy myself as much without being on a patio (cloudy day) and they were very welcoming! Played with my pup, offered variety of red wines and a tasty bruschetta! Service was amazing! Will be back and tell friends to also visit! :) thanks guys Lucy 🐾 and I will be back!

This was such a fun find in Galveston, when I needed a comfy place to work but some delicious wine to help with that work! It’s right in the heart of town in a gorgeous historic space, somehow both spacious and comfy. I did a rose wine flight and they had a perfect selection that featured Texas wines, with one from California. Jacqueline, one of the owners, was such a delight and made the experience really wonderful. Make sure you say hi to her! I also met David and was so impressed that he’d found and sourced wines from Threshold Vineyards - one of my favorites from out in the middle of nowhere. Love stumbling upon treasures like these.
