    What makes it fun

The Bryan Museum offers a romantic setting where love stories come to life amidst timeless elegance and interesting artifacts. Housed in the beautifully restored Galveston Orphans Home, the museum's Renaissance Revival architecture and lush gardens provide a picturesque backdrop for a date. Stroll hand-in-hand through the manicured grounds, where butterflies flutter and birds serenade. Explore the museum's extensive collection, which spans over 12,000 years of history. From ancient Native American artifacts to Spanish colonial treasures, antique firearms, and fine art, each exhibit offers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Texas and the American West.

We rented an RV spot at Beachside RV Park this weekend—loved using their screened guest pavilions for family hangouts! While exploring, we found a museum full of art, sculptures, and artifacts!

Fantastic museum for kids and grown-ups. It has a variety of exhibits that focus on Texas history. It was great to visit after my social studies exam.I liked the tablets that can be used to get more information on certain topics. It allows to get as much or as little as you want while there.I was impressed by the story of the orphanage that was there. It's definitely worth checking out in full.I picked up some silk scarves as souvenirs and they were very good.

Lots of local and state history, much in chronological order. There are many paintings, sculptures, and artifacts to see. The building is also quite interesting.

Very interesting collection by Mr. Bryan- I was particularly impressed with the early statehood focus. It’s a newer museum so they are filling out, but everything was well curated. The host was nice, I did not interact with the docent, but they seemed eager to help.I like the vision of the museum and the work they have done inside is very impressive. I would recommend buying the “Galveston pass” to get this and a few other things to do on the island for cheaper.

The Bryan Museum is a wonderful collection of Texas history from prehistoric to modern times. The collection is immense with art, weapons, saddles, clothing and much more. The old orphanage building that houses the museum is also an historic structure and its history is touched on as well. A really interesting museum and very customer friendly.
