Great Food & Service, but the Waiting Area Needs Work
Yesterday was my first visit to Gaido’s, and overall, it was a great experience! We walked in without a reservation and waited about 20 minutes for a table—which wasn’t too bad. However, the waiting area had a really unpleasant smell, so I stepped out to the corner gift shop while we waited.
Once seated, the dining area was clean and smelled just fine. Our server was fantastic—attentive, quick with our orders, and even gave us updates on how long the food would take, which I really appreciated. It took around 20 minutes for our meals to arrive, and the wait was worth it!
I ordered the charcoal-grilled salmon, and it was delicious—perfectly cooked with a great smoky flavor. The kid’s menu was a bit pricier than similar restaurants, but when my child’s fish fingers arrived, I had to try a bite—and wow! They were soft, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely not your average kids’ meal.
Despite the issue with the waiting area, everything else made up for it. The food, service, and atmosphere were all enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend Gaido’s and will be coming back for another meal soon!
