Haak Winery is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and the entire experience was relaxing from start to finish. The standout for me was the Texas Sweet Red wine - it's absolutely amazing! Smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, it's easily one of the best sweet red wines I've had. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a great place to unwind, Haak Winery is definitely worth a visit. I can't wait to come back!

I wanted to give a honest review as a bride who worked with Haak winery in Santa Fe tx. Below is my experience and warning to other brides! So at the beginning it was amazing and our coordinator was amazing! It was a small winery. They had a cellar and outdoor space as options for the ceremony and an open air barn for the reception. Our contract was all inclusive and included cake, dinner and the coordinator services. We toured and fell in love. Things were great then one day like 2 months from my wedding I texted our coordinator and to ask about wine names and she texted me back that she was fired the week before due to “budget cuts” so I started to freak out and was basically given no answer and that the general manager of the winery would be taking care of me… this was the only update I was given until about two weeks till my wedding. I was never informed of a new coordinator. I texted the GM with a question and never received an answer. I instead was sent a text from their new “event manager”. As my wedding was so close we didn’t have much time so I gave her all of the documents I prepared for the wedding for planning. This was very frustrating as it mad me stress and plan everything that was supposed to already be done. During our meeting I asked about the plans for rain. She showed me the cellar and let me know this would be where the ceremony would be held if it rained. The weekend before my wedding I got a text from her letting me know that the cellar had been rented out to another party.?!? The contract we had eludes to the property being exclusive. We had a week from our wedding and now no plan for rain. the percentages were from 20-40%at that point I was freaking out that it would storm the day of my wedding and had no plan. I had to reach out to the owner of the winery for a meeting and got one. In the meeting they still basically had no plan and refused to give us the entire property. They then asked us to pay $ 1,800 for a tent to fix their mistake. When I brought up the fact that this was not my mistake and the lack of planning and miscommunication was on them, the owner agreed to “ split the tent so we ended up paying $500 for a tent over the outside ceremony area… so that issue was “solved”… then the day before our wedding we got an incorrect invoice for $2,000 more dollars for food and wine. We had already paid for that in the package. The coordinator had made another mistake and it wasn't until I demanded to know what was happening did she let me know if was a mistake and we would be refunded/ fixed the invoice. Because of this, was freaking out again the day before our wedding… so stressful. On day of the wedding the venue was completely open all morning and even had a singer doing a show? They legit let people from the winery walk around all morning where our wedding was being set up. And apparently do a wine/venue tour. When I spoke with Julianne she was condescending and kind of rude and just said that they are allowed to do that?!? They ended up giving me a different day of point of contact after I called her out for her tone with me lol so I didn’t have to see or deal with her once the day got started. I wanted to warn others because for the price you are paying (over $10,000)you shouldn't be having to deal with so much stress during what is supposed to be a celebratory time in your life. It was a lot of stress and I couldn't recommend them less however the vendors they worked with for food and cake are highly recommend! Cakes by Jula- had many guests rave about the cake flavor and how beautiful it was! Robbinettte and company catering- we had so many guests LOVE the food choices! Got azomg reviews about that!

We were almost disappointed yesterday for our first visit to Haak Winery in Santa Fe, TX, but Robin turned that around for us! She was friendly, listened to our tastes and applied her wine savvy to give us a must go back soon experience. We found several unique wines to bring home with us. The winery also offers live music on the weekends so we feel like we've found a lovey close by destination and are looking forward to another visit soon.

Tucked away on the country back roads of Santa Fe, this beautiful vineyard is worth discovering. The venue offers a decent-sized interior complemented by plenty of extra seating outdoors for those who want to soak in the scenery. During our Sunday visit, the atmosphere was lively thanks to music from the Mambo Jazz Kings. While there was food available for purchase, they also offer convenient packaged charcuterie and even Lunchables at a very reasonable price point. The Wine Rundown: Amorcito Sweet Red: A crowd-pleaser for those who like a richer, sugary profile. Amorcito Blush: Balanced and refreshing. Rosé: Pro tip: This one isn’t overly sweet, but don’t let that stop you—it’s absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be heading back.

This Winery has been on my wishlist for some time now, so I was super excited to experience their wine tasting. We drove over an hour to this facility on Valentine’s Day and overall it was a really good experience. There were 5 wine options on the menu and they were all really good. The wine tasting also included some history of the Haak, lesson on the characteristics of wine such as tannins, wine swirl and acidity. It was very informative. They also have vendor who sells desserts. I ordered the Dubai strawberries which was really good and paired well with the wines. The only downside was that we felt like the wine tasting ended abruptly. There was no follow-up or attempt to get us to buy a glass or bottle, so we ended up leaving. Overall it was a good experience but they missed the mark at the end. If we lived closer, I’d definitely try them again.

Absolutely had a blast at The Haak Winery yesterday. Showed up w/ a group of 8 ladies ready for some fun , and a wine tour.. Robyn was our tour guide, she nailed it.. She was very knowledgeable, very good energy , and she was definitely stocked in patience with us..lol.. we had a blast. Thank you Robyn for making this experience memorable 💖 Will definitely be back to visit this winery! It's fantastic!! Love the Malbec!!!

I had my wedding ceremony at this place but it was a disappointed for us and my guest. There is a female manager and she never let us to enjoy our day, I was so excited for my special day and I don’t recommend this place anymore they need to change their management

I absolutely love this place since I moved back in 2014. Never disappointed with them. You can bring a date, your friend's, business or just hang out with your family and kid's. Something for everyone here. Went back this weekend for a tour and the comedy show. Again love this place. Miss Robin is the hoist and the main one for this site. She has been with Haak for many years and always does a great job at explaining the winery and tastings. You won't be disappointed! We enen got to meet Mrs. Haak himself on the tour. Wonderful weekend thanks to Miss Robin. The one stop shop. The employees take care of you and make you feel at home. Thanks Haak!

Wine is ok not too great but good for Texas. The self tasting doesn’t work or has multiple bottles missing. When we went there was a selection of 4 bottles. Also I attended an event in cellar room and it was a nice little place but staff seemed annoyed. I was asking lady for more information on wine and she seemed irritated taking a deep breath to answer my question. Then around 8:45 a lady started yelling that it’s closing time and we all need to leave. Very unprofessional. Anyone that was interested in booking this cute little room for future events were quickly changing their minds. Also restrooms had no toilet paper. 2 stars for a beautiful building and well decorated place

This Viking-themed winery is an absolute gem! The wines are top notch—loved the mead while my husband enjoyed the meridian. The views are gorgeous, and the sunset over the vineyard is not to be missed. We’ve visited several times and always have a great experience. The Fab 5 event had my parents up dancing and everyone singing along. The Renaissance Festival event is a must add to your calendar as it is a fun night that supports a great cause for the Galveston Food Bank. POB had the place rocking, and ending the night with an outdoor movie on the grounds was perfect. The events really shows how much the winery is committed to building community.

There has only been a few places I've been to that made me feel at home. This is one of those places! On top of that the Air B&Bs are comfortable in every way! They even have a wine for everyone, which you can try at anytime!! Definitely a place you will see me throughout the year to include the Galveston County food drive!

Our wedding was at Haak Winery in March and we had the most amazing experience and lovely wedding day! The venue is perfect for both smaller and larger weddings. Our wedding coordinator Kristen Wollenberg, and the entire staff at Haak, were incredible and made everything a breeze. The whole process ran smoothly and we were never stressed out about anything as Kristen was always available and made sure everything was perfect. All of our guests keep complimenting on how nice and beautiful our wedding was! We’re so incredibly happy we chose to have our wedding at Haak!

Haak / Kristen was wonderful, it was the only wedding venue we toured that made us feel like we weren’t being swindled. We toured 5 separate wedding venues aside from Haak. Haak was very clear about what we got for the price and delivered wonderfully on everything. The wine, food and cake were all delicious. We went with all the vendors that Kristen recommended and it was great! 11/10 would get married here again. ❤️

I cannot rave enough about celebrating our wedding at Haak Winery! To start, the venue coordinator, Kristen was attentive, helpful, and handled every detail with care. The staff was all very friendly and professional! The wedding package value beat out every other venue we toured. The airbnbs attached to the venue were perfect for our out of town family and friends. We wish we could have our special day all over again at Haak!

Our wedding at Haak Winery was absolutely incredible, and Kristen Wollenberg was such a fantastic facilitator! From the very start, Kristen made everything smooth, easy, and stress-free. Pam was exceptional and truly amazing in helping everything flow perfectly on our special day. A couple of things to keep in mind: the venue comfortably fits about 125 guests rather than the 150 it sometimes mentions, especially if you plan to have a live band. While this wasn't an issue for us personally, it's just something future couples might want to keep in mind for planning purposes. Additionally, since this is Houston and the weather can be unpredictable, we strongly recommend asking about tent options in case of rain, including understanding the costs involved, any additional steps needed such as rearranging the seating or adjusting the timeline, and possibly having this detailed within your contract for an outdoor wedding. We also found having our dedicated Wedding Coordinator / Team incredibly beneficial for our wedding, especially since it was a larger wedding. It's also a great idea to meet Pam or whoever your main contact will be well before the wedding day and maintain communication with them from the beginning. This early communication will help you feel prepared and in control of your special day. One final note: we weren't impressed with the tablecloths provided by the venue due to their quality and color options, so we suggest bringing your own if possible. Overall, our experience was nothing short of incredible. The food was fantastic, and the cake was amazing! We highly recommend Haak Winery to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with an amazing team. Thank you again, Kristen and Pam, for making our day so special! We can't wait for you to experience the magic of Haak Winery on your own special day.

We got married at Haak and had the absolute best experience! The venue is stunning and we fell in love with the vineyard vibes from the beginning. Kristen and the entire team were so helpful, organized, and truly cared about making our day perfect. Everything ran smoothly and we felt so supported throughout the planning process and on the big day. One of our favorite moments was watching the sun set over the vineyard. It created the most magical golden hour glow and made for some of our favorite photos. Our guests still talk about how beautiful and fun it was. We’re so grateful we chose Haak for our wedding. It was truly unforgettable.

My husband and I traveled from Baton Rouge to Haak Winery in Santa Fe, TX for our 2 year anniversary and we absolutely loved it! We rented The Villa, Rachel Johnston was very responsive and helpful via email when it came to booking the property and the wine tasting/tour. The tour was a blast, we loved our guide, Robin. She was funny, energetic and knowledgable! I would have loved to actually walk out in the vineyard but the morning thunderstorm prevented it. Despite that we still had the best time on the tour. The wine was absolutely divine! It was truly a perfect way to spend our anniversary. The Villa was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Our ONLY complaint was the floors could have been swept a little better, there was hair and dirt on the floors so walking around barefoot wasn’t ideal. Thank you, Haak winery for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely come again!
