Rain forest was fantastic. Aquarium was good. We did not understand the need for the Discovery pyramid. Dino alive exhibits too were boring and not fun, especially on a hot day. 3D show and 4D show was good. Overall a good visit. Spending more time in Rain forest and aquarium was the best decision

Disappointing experience. Its the worst aquarium I’ve ever gone to. Its overpriced, $45 per person, and it has a small variety of animals. Save your money. Sad that we wasted our time here

I truly adore this establishment. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibits are enjoyable, and all the animals appear to be in excellent health and condition. We particularly enjoyed the "Dinos Alive" exhibit, where we observed animatronic dinosaurs and excavated bones in the sand. The aquarium offered a wonderful opportunity to interact with rays, and the rainforest exhibit was simply superb. I could easily spend an entire day here, and in fact, we did!

Place was amazing. The staff was super nice and friendly. We bought a day pass and checked out the Rainforest themed pyramid as well as the Aquarium one. They were amazing. We also got to check out ICE on the last day it was open, definitely worth the visit.

Had a blast at Moody Gardens. My son and I took a pre‑holiday trip to Galveston because Moody Gardens was hosting their holiday displays. We went through the Ice Sculptures exhibit and did a little ice skating, which was a lot of fun.
I also want to highlight how great the staff was. A security guard went out of his way to help us use our entry ticket a second time on the same day. He even signed our paper ticket to make sure we wouldn’t have any issues, even though he wasn’t completely sure of the policy. Really kind employee.
I bought the “everything pass,” which made the most sense, and we were able to enjoy all the attractions. Overall, we had a really good time.
The only downside was the EV charging cost—they charge about double the normal rate. If you drive an electric vehicle, make sure to charge before you go.

1/3/2026: We visited the Shivers Ice Sculpture exhibit. Staff were all friendly, grounds were clean, parking was fairly easy to find, and the area is marked pretty well to show you where to go. I was impressed with the ice sculptures. The amount of work was pretty amazing. It was just freaking cold! 9 degrees, no lie! They give you a parka to wear, but you need to bring your own gloves, scarf, and cap. That is the only thing that saved me. I think we spent MAYBE 25 minutes in there. So, doing the math, a $30 ticket basically breaks down to $1.25 per minute. That's kind of expensive, in my book, but I see how much work these sculptures took, so it's easy to see why they charge the amount they do. It is a little dark inside and the cooling system is a little noisy.

This place was absolutely stunning and completely worth the trip! We visited both the rainforest and the aquarium and had such a great time.

The rainforest exhibit was incredible - you actually get to walk through the treetops of a big indoor rainforest display and see live birds, a sloth, fruit bats, and tons of other animals and plants. The path takes you through each layer of the rainforest, and the birds even wandered along the trails with us, happily darting by around the guests.

The aquarium was just as fun, with mesmerizing jellyfish, adorable penguins and sea lions, clownfish, sharks, and an interactive stingray touch tank. The displays were wonderful. Some people complain about the price, but I’m more than happy to support a place like this and would definitely visit again!

We had a BLAST at Moody Gardens! We went on a Monday so it may have been slower, but there was plenty of parking available, including accessible parking. Entry was seamless with our tickets purchased in advance. The aquarium and rainforest are AMAZING to visit. We watched the 4D movie and it was a little disappointing, but still a 6/10. Food was a little pricey for what you were getting, but that's normal in a place like this, and it was pretty decent!

Fantastic place to visit! I was a little confused about what all was included with passes I bought online the night before but turns out they were all access and I paid less then I would have as a walk in, a quick walk to the visitors center cleared it up. We have been to many aquariums and this one so great as it had penguins and sea lions and seals. We loved the 3d movie theater and may have stayed to watch more movies but had other places to visit.

Great staff, very clean facilities, so much fun! We did the family pass which included 2 date passes for the attractions and a 1 night stay at the hotel. It was perfect. We weren't super excited about the discovery pyramid; we thought it was going to be more hands-on but it wasn't. The rest of it was great! Very worth it.

It is a wonderful place with a lot of family-friendly attractions. I suggest I suggest researching in advance. When I was there, I wasn't able to sign up for a feeding of the seals at the last minute. I also had issues with online purchases to get the 25% that was advertised, and the cashier in line couldn't honor it, stating that it was only an online deal. So don't be surprised if you have to pay full price even though one may have issues with the online sign up. However, it is worth one visit.

Moody Gardens is an absolute gem that offers something for family visits, and we have had their annual membership for the last three years! From the stunning aquarium to the enchanting holiday lights and the unique seasonal Iceland show, it’s a destination worth experiencing.

The aquarium was breathtaking! The exhibits are thoughtfully designed, providing close-up views of diverse marine life. From playful penguins to vibrant coral reefs, every corner of the aquarium had something fascinating to marvel at. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions and share interesting animal facts. One of my kids' favorite activities there is to touch the stingray, it is so fun and best way to learn about them.

The holiday lights transformed the gardens into a whimsical wonderland as night fell during year-end holiday day months. The display was beautifully curated, with sparkling installations and creative designs that delighted kids and adults alike. Walking through the illuminated paths felt magical and festive—perfect for getting into the holiday spirit!

Also quite amazing is the seasonal Iceland show. It’s incredible to see how talented ice sculptors bring icy masterpieces to life. The level of detail in the sculptures is awe-inspiring, and the chilly environment adds an authentic touch to the experience. Make sure to bundle up even though they do provide parka before entering, as it can get quite cold inside!

Moody Gardens combines fun, education, and seasonal charm seamlessly. Whether you're visiting the aquarium, the lights, or the Iceland exhibit, you’re guaranteed to have a memorable time. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for fun.
