The Lasker Inn

Our wedding was an absolute dream from start to finish! First of all, Richard was a breeze to work with. He had everything covered, from the flowers, the cake, the DJ, the table decorations, and every little detail you could imagine. He supplied cake cutters, special Mr. and Mrs. champagne glasses, the gift card box, photos of my husband and I placed all over the venue, too many amazing details to list. It was all so spectacular! Richard kept everything moving the day of the wedding, he isn't just the planner, he is also there to ensure that everything is perfect, and everything happens on time. He made sure we ate, and even saved us a box of food to have later. Speaking of the food, it was so delicious! We decided on heavy horderves, and everything came out so fresh and tasty. Plus, the huge charcuterie board was fantastic. The venue (mansion) is breathtaking. There were endless beautiful areas for photo ops inside and out. The decorations inside remind me of a French New Orleans style mansion or an insane boutique hotel, with incredible antique furnishings and gorgeous paintings. The grounds outside are lush with well kept gardens. It felt like a destination wedding when taking photos outside! My favorite part was that we rented all the rooms Fri-Sun for ourselves and our wedding party. Meaning we all got to stay together and celebrate Friday night before the wedding and again Saturday night after the wedding. We made so many amazing memories in that house which will stay with us forever! Not the mention, a delicious breakfast was made for everyone both Saturday and Sunday morning, and we all slept like babies in the most comfortable beds! The rooms are decorated beautifully, and the Bridal Suite is massive with plenty of space for the brides and bridesmaids to get ready. Lastly, Richard's DJ was awesome. He listened to me and played everything I asked him to. We were all dancing the entire reception! Again, our wedding weekend was such a dream come true! It wasn't just a day, the whole weekend was magical!

3 years had gone by since our first visit and Lasker Inn is still as amazing as our first visit. The rooms are spacious and clean. The level of hospitality is mind blowing. Richard thinks of every detail from amenities to snacks to robes. He doesn’t miss a beat. There are so many thoughtful touches in the room and throughout the inn.

My husband particularly enjoyed the playing the piano in the parlor. It was a wonderful way to unwind after exploring Galveston.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Lasker Inn’s chef, Logan, whipped up an impressive spread of dishes. There was a great balance of savory and sweet items to choose from. We felt beyond pampered!

The location of Lasker Inn is fantastic too. It’s centrally located and a convenient base to explore Galveston.

I highly recommend staying at the Lasker Inn. We can’t wait to go back!

We only stayed one night, but The Lasker Inn made a lasting impression. The home is full of historic charm and thoughtful touches. Our room was beautifully appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had everything we might have forgotten to pack — such a thoughtful detail. We also appreciated the help-yourself bar, coffee, and snack area.

Richard Conner was our host, and he was incredibly helpful, gracious, and kind. He gave us insightful tips about Galveston and shared great local recommendations. His hospitality really stood out.

Breakfast, prepared by Chef Logan, was delicious and beautifully presented — a highlight of our stay.

We felt truly welcomed and relaxed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Lasker Inn to anyone visiting Galveston.

This beautiful historic bed and breakfast is like home away from home. The minute you walk in the door the host and staff make you feel like family.

Each bedroom is decorated with the style of the period. Gorgeous antiques overlook beautiful porches for lounging and enjoying the view.

The beds and pillows are the best! So comfortable and luxurious. You will sleep like a baby!

This venue offers accommodations for one or a group. My recent stay was with a group of 10 friends. We lounged in the beautiful parlor, ate in luxury and were served by a wonderful staff.

You won’t find a better stay! Richard and his team go out of their way to make you feel at home.
