Had the most wonderful stay at The Mansard House! My husband and I saw the show and had to experience it for ourselves. It met our expectations and MORE! We were blown away with how beautifully restored the building is. Service and rooms were excellent. Really enjoyed our time chilling on the front patio and by the pool. Location is perfect and close to everything you need. If you are looking for a charming, peaceful and historic place to stay in Galveston without kids, THIS is it. Thank you, Michael, Ashley and team!!

We have. Web trying to get down to this Inn for a year. When we arrive this weekend we fell in love. The pool was amazing, the room was perfect and all the details made it the best. We can’t wait to come back.

There is nothing not to love about The Mansard House! We live close enough to Galveston that we do weekend trips down there several times a year. This was our first time at this boutique hotel. We had never heard of it until recently and it looked amazing in the pictures. It did not disappoint in real life! Communication with the owners was great, parking area was nice and secure, check-in was easy, and the inn was absolutely stunning! The historical aspect of the building was preserved well with added modern touches to make the place truly special. They did not skimp on quality in decor or furnishings. We did not eat the provided breakfast because we have a favorite restaurant, Millers, that is always a "must do" when we are in Galveston. It was a nice, easy 18 minute walk from the inn (3/4 mile). A perfect morning stroll. The provided breakfast did look nice though with fresh bagels from The Galveston Bagel Company, located literally across the street. We did utilize the pool and the cabanas and both were perfect. Don't hesitate to book this amazing little hotel. For an adult only trip to Galveston, it will definitely be our new go-to spot!

Great, quiet place to stay. Adult only boutique hotel. Had all the necessary amenities without excess staff, noise and interruptions. How much more enjoyable is the pool without kids everywhere? Stop by and find out :)

My wife & I stayed here Easter weekend and it was a most enjoyable experience. Everything was very clean (our room, the grounds, the pool, etc.) and we enjoyed seeing and talking with Michael & Ashley who showed up everyday to work on something. Those two are a hard working couple. They clearly are very proud of their little hotel and rightfully so as it’s a gem. Great location if you like going to the Strand, the beach and everything in between. We will definitely stay here again. - Sean & Lori Smith

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the Mansard House and absolutely loved it. Being a big fun of ‘Restoring Galveston’ and watching while Michael and Ashley renovated the old boarding house, I knew we needed to see it in person. It did not disappoint! Our room was amazing, suite 22, and we realized our suite was the only one with a window in the bathroom, which makes this Boutique Inn unique in its own way. Perfect location to either go to the gulf side or the harbor/historical area. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Staying at the Mansard House and visiting Galveston and taking in the history of the island is a must do. It will not disappoint!

Our room(s) was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. Loved the exposed wood on the ceilings and in the closets (such a Michael and Ashley touch!). The secure parking was comforting. Breakfast was simple but the bagels from the shop across the street were phenomenal!
I did wish there was a small bench in the bathroom on which to place clothing items when showering.

We just spent 5 nights at the beautiful, cozy and well-appointed Mansard House. We looked forward to our stay for months and were inspired to stay based on our love of the Restoring Galveston show and watching the transformation of this historic building. It was different to have self check-in with Concierge staff for only some of the day. However, just before arriving, we received a detailed email about check-in that contained all of the information we needed and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We didn’t spend any time at the pool area except for about 30 minutes one afternoon between activities and dinner. Otherwise, our room was fantastic, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast area is perfect for a quick complimentary breakfast of bagels, fruit and yogurt each morning and the staff we did meet was welcoming, helpful and friendly. As a special bonus for us, we got to meet Ashley and Michael! We highly recommend Mansard House if you are visiting Galveston.

My husband and I were so lucky to get to stay at The Mansard House earlier this month. What a wonderful boutique hotel! Our room was beautifully appointed and quiet. Great amenities, super comfortable bed, and a wonderful little continental breakfast each morning. We are huge fans of Restoring Galveston and staying in the historic boarding house that has been lovingly brought back to life by the Cordrays was so special. Good area for food trucks and shopping. Great food truck and bagel place across the street with cool menus. You can bring your food back and chill out by the pool. Wonderful gift place next door with art by local artists. We will definitely stay there again. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my “So Vintage” t-shirt too.

My husband and I are traveling all around Texas and have stayed in a bunch of hotels. We decided to try The Mansard hotel when we were in Galveston and it was amazing. It is quiet and very clean. Easy walking to the beach and restaurants. The beds are so comfortable and the pool is wonderful...we swam despite the 55 degree morning. We hadn't considered an extended stay in Galveston but now we are. We highly recommend The Mansard as a place to stay!
