Staying at Avenue O was a wonderful experience. My wife and I truly loved spending the evening at your lovely B&B before our cruise. Your hospitality, beautiful home, garden space, and top-notch amenities made our stay so special. We could not stop singing your praises to everyone on our cruise, raving about the perfectly appointed rooms and baths, delicious breakfast, generous complimentary cruise parking, and your exceptional hosting!!! We were almost tempted to keep this gem a secret just to ensure we can book a room for our next trip. Thank you so much again, with a special shoutout to Jeff for kindly dropping us off at the cruise terminal and picking us up upon our return. We look forward to staying with you again on our next adventure.

This is a great place to stay. Stayed the night before our cruise and was able to leave our car on their property during the cruise. The home is beautiful and the hosts are very kind. Breakfast was great and they even take you to/from your cruise dock. Win, win.

We absolutely loved our stay with Polly and Jeff! From the moment we arrived, you could tell how much thought and love they put into every little detail. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful accommodations to the incredible food. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and you could truly feel the care that went into everything they prepared. Polly and Jeff were such wonderful hosts—so welcoming, kind, and attentive. Every little touch made our anniversary trip feel extra special, and we loved all of it. ❤️ We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back! Highly recommend staying with Polly and Jeff—you can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in every detail. 🥰

Such a wonderful place to stay! Great food. Great location, clean and cozy. We drove in the day before our cruise and they stashed our car and took us to the ship. They cruised back to back so we took a 6 minute taxi back to pick up our car. Otherwise they would have gladly picked us up after our sailing. What great service! We walked to diner at their suggestion a lovely steak and seafood place called Blvd. Best coconut ship ever! If you’re looking for a good night rest look mo further!

We recently stayed at Avenue O and the experience was amazing! Upon our arrival we were greated by Poly and Jeff! Poly checked us in and Jeff showed us around. The house was very clean and inviting! We were very impressed and felt right at home! After settling in I came down the stairs to the amazing smell of fresh baked cookies that were just as tasty as they smelled! What a nice touch! My husband had recently broken his toe and was in need of a ice bag. Jeff and Poly were nice enough to share boo boo bear with us ( their daughters ice pack:) and give us a bag of ice. Their hospitality was off the chart! We also ordered pizza for dinner, which was homade with fresh peppers and herbs from their garden and also amazing! We could eat it every day! It was the perfect size for two! My husband and I were stuffed with three slices left over, which he ate for a midnight snack. I ordered a vanilla cake for my husband's birthday and Poly and Jeff brought it up to us along with balloons. It was the birthday! Dinner and a cake and we didn't have to go anywhere! It gets better! The next morning we woke up and opened our door to the amazing aroma of a made from scratch breakfast! We were joined at the dining table by a nice group of travelers where we all raved about how good the breakfast was! Everything was nicely prepared and served to us by Poly. After filling our bellies, Jeff got everyone off to the cruise ports to continue their vacations. We travel around to lots of destinations and this stop is one that you should definitely experience! You won't be disappointed! Thank you Poly and Jeff for your hospitality!!

Polly and Jeff were the perfect Hosts to their Beautiful Home aka "Avenue O". I had such a Lovely Stay over New Year's holiday and the "Avenue O" was the perfect location. Their home is charming and when you enter there is a personalized Welcome sign, delicious homemade treats and information desk loaded with information and places to see while visiting Galveston. The Balinese room was so lovely (photos attached) and slept so well there (soft sheets) and everything was neat, tidy and full of warm hospitality. Loved walking out on the balcony and outside in their yard among old trees, fruit trees, fresh herb garden and a quiet neighborhood. Delicious breakfasts and meals prepared by Chef Polly and she and her husband Jeff are so Kind and Wonderful Hosts. EXCELLENT place to stay and will return and sharing among Friends. Thank you so Much Polly and Jeff! Hope this year has been full of Blessings for you and your Family. 🙏🏽🩷

We had such a wonderful stay at Avenue O Bed and Breakfast! Jeff and Polly are truly fantastic hosts who made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We stayed nearly a week while visiting our son and his girlfriend (which I imagine is longer than their typical guest) and yet their warm, thoughtful hospitality never missed a beat. When we arrived we were greeted by Jeff and Polly, with delicious homemade cookies. The B & B was spotless and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and had every amenity you could think of to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed the most incredible gourmet breakfasts each morning, homemade by Polly. My 88-year-old dad said it was the best breakfast he’s ever had—and I couldn’t agree more. Jeff and Polly were attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind throughout our entire stay. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit to Galveston and Avenue O!

Jeff and Polly are amazing hosts! My husband, son, and I stayed here in the Seawall suite before our cruise. Check in was smooth, they provided excellent dinner recommendations, breakfast (by Polly) was delicious, and Jeff was so quick to pick us up post-cruise! You'll be in the best hands at Avenue O B&B. I can't recommend this charming B&B enough!

Wow—what an incredible place to stay! Jeff and Polly truly made our visit unforgettable. Our guest room was immaculate, and the common areas were warm, comfortable, and inviting. The outdoor spaces were absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxing. And breakfast… honestly, words don’t do it justice. Absolutely amazing! Parking for cruise with ease of mind. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. This stay is a solid 10 out of 10. We will absolutely be back again!

Absolutely loved our first visit to Avenue O B&B. Beautiful B&B, delicious breakfast, the room was spotlessly clean, and Jeff and Polly were so accommodating. Jeff delivered us to the Royal Caribbean port and picked us up on our return. Leaving the car at the B&B while we were away worked out perfectly. We have already booked another stay in January.

Polly and Jeff were excellent hosts! The house is beautiful and well maintained! The rooms had all the amenities you would need! Jeff provided transportation to the cruise terminal and picked us up when we returned! Polly cooked a fantastic breakfast! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The owners are so sweet, welcoming, and super accommodating. The breakfast was mouth watering. All of the rooms are comfy, cozy, and beautiful. My friend got married in the beautiful backyard/garden. Its only a few blocks away from the seawall. I am so in love with this place. I will be back!!

Man, this place was awesome. Jeff and Polly are world class folks. Such a great value. We will be returning without a doubt. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away and have a nice, cozy, quiet place to stay.

We stayed at Avenue O the night before a cruise and would highly recommend it! The owners, Polly and Jeff, were lovely! They were helpful, kind, and welcoming! They were very responsive both prior to and during our visit. The location was great, it was just a quick walk to attractions, including places to eat and the Pleasure Pier. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The building is beautiful and has a number of lovely outdoor and indoor spaces to use. We had a delicious breakfast the morning before we left for our cruise and Jeff made sure we were at the cruise port and able to quickly and easily board our ship. We would highly recommend staying here and will certainly stay again when we cruise out of Galveston!

Just an incredible place. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very clean. They even provided a homemade breakfast Sunday morning and it was delicious. Really just can't say enough great things. We'll be back for sure!

There is nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Polly and Jeff are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was great, the property was cozy, and the room was comfortable and very clean. We stayed in the Balinese room. The small deck off the bedroom is great to relax.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Jeff and Polly truly exceeded our expectations. From the comfortable bed, walk-in shower, to all the extras throughout... freshly baked banana bread when we arrived, to robes in our bathroom, to the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B! They also offer a complimentary ride to the cruise port plus parking up to 7 days if needed.

Polly and Jeff were sitting in their front room when we arrived and greeted us at the door. They were very welcoming and immediately made us feel like we were long lost cousins and right at home. Even had welcome cupcakes next to our names. The room was spotless which is amazing in this 100 year old house and had a mini-split HVAC unit which was almost silent and kept the room very comfortable. Bathroom completely remodeled with huge waterfall shower. Breakfast was next level with Polly up early preparing it. We used their cruise parking package so Jeff shuttled us both to and from the port which made that part of the journey painless. I don''t recommend you book this wonderful property because you might take our room next time we want to stay here.... :-) We will be back....

My husband and I stayed at Avenue O from Oct 3-6 for his early 50th birthday and our 1st cruise for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Balinese Room and all I can say that it was truly an amazing stay. Polly and Jeff are amazing hosts and so helpful. Polly is an amazing cook! Jeff took us to the port and also picked us up when we got back into port. The entire experience was so amazing that we have already booked another cruise for May 2025 and have already booked our room again. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay while in Galveston I absolutely recommend staying at Avenue O.

We spent our 29th Anniversary with Polly and Jeff and had the greatest time! We had both pizza and private dinner and they were both excellent! Breakfast was wonderful as well. Our suite was well appointed and the tub and shower were both great! We enjoyed every second of our getaway...except the part where I broke my leg! 🫣 Leave it to me! It did not dampen our fun. We still enjoyed our stay at The Ave O and Galveston. Looking forward to next time! Thanks you 2 for an amazing stay!❤️❤️

A big thank you to Avenue O! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although we only stayed one night (overnight for a cruise, the next day), the hospitality delivered by Polly and Jeff was outstanding. We stayed in the Balinese Suite; it was charming, extremely comfortable and the walk-in shower was amazing. We also enjoyed the experience of the private dining offered by Avenue O. All we can say is WOW!!!! we opted for the Ribeye steak dinner and let me just say, Polly and Jeff know how to cook! The meal was so delicious and truly kicked off our vacation. Next morning, in true B&B fashion, breakfast was served... Again, what amazing cooking skills Polly and Jeff possess. The breakfast was so tasty and offered a great start to our embarkation day, for the cruise. Speaking of cruising, Avenue O also provides a complimentary transportation service to the port; Jeff was so gracious to individually take us to the port, despite other guests, staying at the B&B, were also heading to the port, at a later time. Overall, we are so happy we chose to stay at Avenue O. If you like the B&B experience, don't walk, run, to book your next stay at Avenue O! Thank you Polly and Jeff for welcoming us and providing such a great story to tell, and we did, about Avenue O and your gracious hospitality.
