This is definitely a hidden gem! Erin at the front desk is so kind and helpful. The free breakfast is wonderful and the ladies serving it from the kitchen couldn’t be better! They gave us VIP treatment 😊 the view is amazing, our room is perfect. The pool and bar are also fantastic. So glad we found this place!

We stayed in the kewpies corner room and it was so nice! The inside is absolutely beautiful, had dishes and towels ready to use. The AC was great! Because me and my husband like it cold! Right infront of the beach and the pool and hot tub were great! With of course the pool side bar. Greatest thing was that we were booked on a cruise and the hotel is only 10 minutes away from boarding but also has cruise parking for 2 vehicles for only $25!!!! Definitely will be back!

Melissa and Maritza in the office are AMAZING! Very welcoming and good at what they do! Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon to stay a night before our cruise. Clean rooms, beautiful view of the ocean, nice staff. The ladies in the breakfast lobby (I didn’t get their names) are so sweet and helped direct us since we were new here. 10/10 atmosphere, staff, and STAY! Highly recommend.

Would probably be a great place except for the fact that the hotel is totally fine with people smoking right outside their rooms, and yours, in a non smoking residence. Pay for a private balcony room and can't even enjoy it because all you smell is smoke and breathe it in. Will not stay here again. Will find a hotel that actually cares about their non smoking policy.

I stayed at Gaido's Seaside Inn often as a child. It was a blast to stay here again before our cruise. Check-in was smooth, Alex and Melissa at the customer service desk were super friendly and helpful. The rooms have been updated, but it still has the retro vibe that I was expecting. We appreciated the nice views of the beach, hot breakfast, and included cruise parking. We ate at Nick's onsite and it was great food. Lovely experience, we will stay again. Thanks!

We are staying here the night before our cruise and so far the experience has been awesome. The girls at the front desk, Alex, Mavitza and Melissa are the best! Very friendly, accommodating and more importantly they laughed at my husband’s corny jokes. The hotel is an older hotel but the rooms are very clean and fixed up really cute. The price was also very decent for the location. They also have free parking for the length of your cruise. It’s a nice safe gated parking area. I wish we could stay longer but we will definitely come back. Thank you ladies!!

Lacking. This was highly recommended by locals and I’m not sure why except that it’s nostalgia from the locals? Rooms are really old and outdated. Discolored tiles and mold on ceiling in spots. Bed was uneven and pillows were rock hard. Something in the room beeped all night long, I’m a light sleeper and woke often. I’m told there are a couple rooms that actually look like the advertised photos, but those are the only ones that are made up to look nice. Pool, hot tub and bar was good, staff was great, we did enjoy that, but overall doesn’t make up for the room. There is some charm but definitely not worth what you pay. Great location but disappointing as husband and I love Nick’s and Gaido’s to eat so we expected a bit more. Fast-forward two years we gave it another shot. We had an Ocean view room and it met all our expectations. The bar outside and the pool are still fabulous. As long as we get a Oceanview room, we will definitely be coming back. Although they are remodeling, so maybe the rooms that are lacking are going to be updated as well.

Erin & Mellisa were very professional! Great place to stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has such a high rating. This is, at best, a run-down motel being priced like a 4-star hotel. It is extremely outdated and poorly maintained, yet charges rates comparable to Holiday Inn or Hilton, over $300 even in the off-season, which is completely unreasonable for the condition. I booked this stay because I’ve visited the area my whole life and expected something vintage, charming, and well-kept. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The issues start immediately with the lobby, which feels unwelcoming and resembles a neglected storage area rather than a hotel front desk. Throughout the property, there are clear signs of lack of maintenance, including black mold, rust, peeling paint, filthy door frames, stained tubs, and old, damp carpet. The overall cleanliness and condition made the room feel uncomfortable, and we were genuinely concerned about potential bugs. To be fair, the breakfast staff was friendly, and housekeeping seems to be doing their best with a facility that is clearly beyond repair. The location across from the beach is also a plus. However, this property is severely outdated, overpriced, and misrepresented. If this were a budget motel at $60 a night, expectations would be different, but at premium pricing, this experience is unacceptable. Don't be fooled by the stars or the price.

Just would like to give a BIG shoutout to for Alex. We were guest the evening of, March 29, 2016. When we checked in, she was very helpful, joyful and polite. This is just one reason (plus the home made breakfast, those lady’s are awesome also) we keep returning to you all multiple times each year.

Stayed here a handful of times, never had a problem. Place is old and they have been putting lipstick on this pig for a long while (prob too long). Usually a decent price for the location, but in the last few years, its gotten a little expensive for the room. Free breakfast helps to justify and is really good for what you get. The biggest minor inconvenience are the chairs on the upstairs walkway. They are great for lounging in but not great to navigate with luggage getting to your room and worse if people are sitting in them. Overall, you wont be disappointed unless youre just outright bougie.

Gaidos is exactly what I need from a beach side Inn. Super close to the water and to all seaside activities! Plus a pool and hot tub when I'm tired of the sand! Being connected to Nicks is a great bonus as well!! Service is always super nice and the breakfast ladies take great care of you in the morning!!

Live music on the beach. Had a good time, Gaidos is an establishment so it's been here awhile. Rooms do show of that. Pool and bar is nice.

First of all I was kind of skeptical about this property!! I booked two nights with my 3 baby girls and so far this turned like a little get away vacation!! Place is clean, sheets smell clean, towels , restrooms as well clean. Without forgetting to mention there was plenty of shampoo, 🧴 Conditioner, & Body-wash soap The room was beyond my expectations for the price !! I have stayed in other places near Seawall but they all have the same smell , like smoke and weed. Humidity all over and mold prices super high. But this place has it all pool, ocean view, restaurant, great Breakfast 🍳 quiet at night, plenty of parking space, very secure without forgetting to mention your a street away from the beach 🏖️… also like 10 minute walk to the Pleasure Pier 🎢 in Galveston .., plenty of restaurants and lots of things to do near by .., I will definitely come back to this place as a true guest don’t waste hundreds of dollars 💵 in this branded names hotels !! This place is affordable, clean and worth the price!! I will be coming back for sure 👍!!

It's not the Ritz. But, it is a quaint, historical motel that offers a great view of the ocean. It is old but they do the best to keep it up and rooms clean. Others kids seem to have a great time! Did get noisy and lots of smoking on balconies (which is a very small walkway). Hesitant first night but after staying we would stay again! It is not a resort but worth the stay. It's basic, but great overall!

The beach view room was worth the money. The pool has a shallow section for the littles that is roped off. The hot tub is also temperature appropriate for littles. This morning I watched as staff cleaned the entire pool are thoroughly. The free breakfast is very nice. The rooms are clean but a little run down but all the other stuff makes up for it. I would definitely come back.

Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Check in was fast. The room was spacious. We had a double queen room. It was clean. No roaches. No bedbugs. Lots of pillows...good fluffy pillows. The bed very comfy. Lots of TV channels with options for Netflix etc. No black feet walking on the carpet. And surprisingly it was quiet...we stayed behind the beachfront rooms... so no noise from the hwy and beach. Front desk staff was courteous and fulfilled our request for extra blankets for my sister who had just had surgery. No complaints. Worth what we paid. Will return.
