Absolutely incredible stay at the Carlton Room! On vacation, I want to relax and unwind, but the time I spend doing that in the hotel room often can feel like a bit of a waste. Not so in this B&B! The room is a destination in itself. Every little detail is well thought out and lovely.
We especially loved the library room in our suite, which has a cozy little reading nook perfect for a lazy post-beach afternoon. We even fell in love with the brand of earl grey tea they have stocked! Wonderful with the little biscotti our hosts left as complimentary snacks. Hosts were super gracious in giving recommendations for beach spots, accommodating late checkout, etc.
Only downsides to the room - and these are very minor - were:
1) for a very short person like me, some things like towels, mirrors, etc are a little high up. All good once I found a stepstool, but it took me a while to realize they had one available!
2) There’s not a ton of natural light in the Carlton suite, especially in the morning. If that’s important to you, you might want a different suite that faces another direction.
3) The shower (there is no bath) in the Carlton is very small, so if you’re a larger person it can feel a little cramped.
If you choose to stay here, I expect you will have a wonderful time. We have already recommended this place to our friends and hope to come back again to try the other suites!
