It would be nice if you could walk the Pier for free. Spent about 55$ on 4 of us for a quick 10 Min walk. It was alot smaller than it seemed from the outside but it was nice. Staff was Friendly from the ticket booth to the concession stands. The Churro Milkshake was amazing!

Love this place, but lost my dad's Rosary Crucifix that I was wearing on one of the rides a few months back.

It has Jesus on the cross and a couple of the beads attached to it that match the attached photo.

It was the ride that just goes in a circle upside-down, backwards and forwards. it is a blue ride that only goes in upside-down (see additional attached photo).

If anyone finds it please contact me.

"PVC" (for my father, Paul Vincent Culotta) initials on the back of the cross.

    Praise be to God.

    Christ is King.

Let the blessed Holy Spirit guide you.

    God bless and good journey!

Very fun place for kiddos. The brewer at the end of the pier has some of the best turkey legs I've ever had. Very juicy and flavorful and large. The funnel cakes at the first shop by the merry go round were very delicious as well.

I've been in the Houston area for over twenty years and have purchased my home in Galveston County almost two years ago.

Today was my very first visit to Pleasure Pier! Myself and my daughter had a blast.

Parking is affordable and convenient. Restrooms and venue as a whole are "Buccee's clean".

The extras are pricey as expected. The employees are friendly, food and beverages are nice quality.

I'm definitely returning soon, by myself so I can ride more roller-coasters.

Galveston is must visit, if you have kids the pleasure pier is worth it. But they charge everyone $13 plus tax even if you dont ride the rides. My wife and I just wanted to take a few pictures from the pier but didnt feel like a couple pics where worth $30 bucks. Other then that it was a nice place. Make sure to hit Indes coffee bar and speak easy for a great cup of coffee owned and operated by a veteran and his wife. Galveston Island cigar lounge located next door has an awesome view you can sit on the pier and smoke.

We visited on Saturday, March 7th. This is a great place to go if you're looking for a day of fun. I thought it was reasonably priced for the amounts of rides. There were virtually no lines (compared to places like Six Flags). The staff was friendly and the facilities were very clean. The wristband is good for all day, so you are able to leave and come back later, which I thought was great as well.

If you aren't one for spinning thrill rides, they do have a "walking pass" available. A gentleman had made that comment as he and I were looking up at the super high swings my wife making me go on.

And don't forget to get yourself a funnel cake before you leave. We went with the classic and it was DELICIOUS!

Let’s start with the obvious — the name. Walking up with kids and seeing “Pleasure Pier” on the sign definitely gave us a moment of Wait… are we in the right place? 😅

That said, the overall experience was pretty cool. The views are awesome, the carnival-style setup over the water looks amazing from a distance, and there are plenty of spots for food and adult beverages, which is always a win.

I’m giving it four stars mainly because three of their major attractions were shut down during our visit, and it looked like there was only one bathroom for the entire pier, which wasn’t ideal for families.

Still, the vibe was fun, the atmosphere felt safe, and the kids had a great time. Worth checking out — just hope more rides are open next time!

Galveston Island Pleasure Pier — The pier itself isn’t bad: nice Gulf views, classic rides, and a fun boardwalk atmosphere. But it’s way overpriced for what you get — admission, food, and ride tickets add up fast and the value doesn’t match the cost. My bigger issue was their no-weapons policy. I respect safety rules, but as someone who legally carries, it felt restrictive and honestly made me less comfortable rather than more.

That feeling comes from the real context of the area: Galveston’s violent crime rate is around 537 per 100,000 residents and property crime is about 2,380 per 100,000, which is well above the national averages, and overall crime here is roughly 37–38% higher than most U.S. cities. With that in mind, being told I can’t carry made the experience feel off. Not a terrible place to visit, just overpriced and not aligned with the safety priorities of someone who carries. 3/5 — okay for a quick stop, but not worth a dedicated trip.

Excellent spot to hit up when on vacation in Galveston! Everyone is friendly and helpful, only one ride was down while we were there but that didn’t seem to bother the kids. Pricing similar to bigger parks if you do “individual“ ride passes, highly suggest the full day ride pass. Also the arcade cards allow you to play all the outside games as well. Beautiful 60+ degree day here on New Year’s Eve!

ATTENTION! The Pier is a PRIVATE amusement park, so it is closed to the public on MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, and WEDNESDAYS. The adult entrance fee is $12. It's a shame, as it could be like Santa Monica Pier, but it's a public space. We weren't able to evaluate the attractions.

Had so much fun here! Tickets to get in and have unlimited access to all the rides were $30/person and it was worth it (although there are cheaper options for just walking along the pier or for certain types of rides). I recommend going in the evening so you can see everything lit up and get a nice view of the sunset from the rides. We didn't get tickets in advance so we had to wait for a few minutes in line, but they do have that option to make it a bit quicker

The place is small but the scenery is perfect. Ticket prices are high considering the number of rides. I do not recommend buying a $7 family rides ticket. That one is a real scam. It looks like you can ride in all the rides that are included in the list, but practically, you can choose only one.

Don’t go HUNGRY there’s a LONG wait all around. Other than that it was nice, looking at the water from the rides is awesome. Check Groupon before you go to get better deals on tickets. 😊

We had a pleasant visit to the pier on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded and the wait for entry or for the attractions was never more than a 5 minutes. The food is WAY overpriced but you expect that in a place like this, and the views are SPECTACULAR! Entry cost just under $100 for three adults, and you can complete your visit in 4 hours or less, leaving Ome ty of time to hit the nearby gift shops or the beach.

It's a small fun place in Galveston. We got there right when it opened and spent about an hour and a half there. Kids were able to ride all the rides that were opened at the time. The wristband price was decent for the activities though we did purchase it as part of one of those city packages. We would come back next time if we're visiting Galveston with friends and family that hasn't been to Pleasure Pier.
