Happy to change this rating, but wanted you to let you know that we had made reservations only to get there and find out it’s closed. We watched many people experience the same thing as we ate outside across the street.

Riondo’s is more than just your neighborhood Italian joint and they don’t just have the Cajun chicken pasta that every restaurant in America has. Seriously search pasta in Google Maps and see what you get. I’ll wait. I had the gnocchi which was awesome as expected. They are handmade and irregular shaped so you know it’s going to be good. The diced prosciutto and salty parmigiana balance out the gnocchi nicely. Riondo’s is always worth a stop when I’m in Galveston.

Riondo’s is our go to restaurant in Galveston. The food is amazing and they have a wonderful wine list. The cocktails are delicious and the atmosphere is 💯. Highly recommend you give this place a try. Walk-ins are welcome but I recommend making a reservation.

Shane was our server and was amazing. He smoked our Italian Country appetizer with pecan smoke and it was phenomenal. We had the surf and turf, veal scampi, the shrimp scampi pasta, and the ravioli pillows. (I can't remember the exact title of the entrees btw!) We loved it all and Shane was the best server. Fantastic. Ten stars!!

My group of 8 came into this restaurant after a long day of driving to Galveston. Our friends who are dairy free couldn’t figure out what to order and our server, Richard, was offering so many suggestions doing his best to help. He took his time and gave us so many solutions without pressuring us for anything! Everything about this place from service to food was exceptional and I’ll be coming back.

We visited for Mother’s Day brunch and had a great experience overall. We called the same day for reservations, but the only indoor availability wasn’t until 3 PM. They did have seating available on the patio, so we decided to take it. The restaurant is really cute, and the indoor dining area had a quiet, welcoming atmosphere. The patio was enjoyable as well since we could listen to live music coming from the bar across the street. Our server was wonderful and provided amazing service throughout our meal. The hostess, however, could have been a bit more welcoming upon arrival. The food was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The tiramisu crepes were definitely on the sweeter side but very tasty. The Italian margaritas were good, though a little weaker than expected. The only unexpected moment was when a strong gust of wind knocked over one of the patio umbrellas and it nearly fell on my sister-in-law. Thankfully, my son was able to stop it before anyone was hurt. Despite that incident, we had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch and would happily return.

I love this place! I only went once, but the service and food were amazing. Everything is made in house and handled with care, the atmosphere is so nice and cozy but also elegant and classy. A bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny if you can swing it.

Riondo’s is the real deal. We started with the Italian Country Table and it set the tone immediately. Quality meats, great cheeses, fresh arugula, grilled eggplant, and that house “Riondo Mozz” — everything tasted intentional and well sourced. Not just a charcuterie board thrown together, but a balanced starter done right. The Margherita pizza was textbook. Crisp crust with just the right chew, bright San Marzano sauce, fresh basil, and perfectly melted mozzarella. Simple food executed at a high level. The Seafood Ravioli Pillows were outstanding. The filling was generous, the pasta tender, and the garlic bianco sauce tied it all together without overpowering the seafood. Rich, but not heavy. Dessert sealed the deal. The chocolate cake was decadent and moist, and the Bananas Foster came out flaming tableside — not a gimmick, but a true finishing touch that elevated the experience. Atmosphere is warm and romantic without feeling stuffy. Service was attentive and professional. You can tell this place is run with pride. If you’re in Galveston and want elevated Italian with a strong wine list and a refined vibe, Riondo’s should be at the top of your list.

We are visiting Bolivar peninsula on vacay and came to Galveston for the day. Riondo's is on the Strand and even though a more formal restaurant, we sat outside on a beautiful November afternoon.The weather was great!! And the food was incredible! Our server was Clay and he was marvelous. He took the time to thoroughly explain each dish, and he was wonderful to us!! My shrimp po boy was fantastic on fresh in house chiabatta bread and huge, plump perfect shrimp. My dining guest meals were equally delicious- the Lasagna Bolognese and Chicken Parm. Will definitely come back again.

Very busy on a Friday night so we sat at the bar. Bartender Shara was friendly and made great drinks. We ordered Meatball Appetizer, Scallops Appetizer, penne pasta, angel hair pasta and bread. Food was delicious and Appetizer portions were generous enough to be a meal. Instead of angel hair pasta they brought me penne pasta, we were in a rush so just ate that, it was very good. A little noisy but able to have a conversation with loud voices. Inside and outside seating. Nice decor.

Terrific food with a kitchen staff, wait staff and owner who really cares about quality. Veal chop special presented the best I have had in a long time anywhere in the country. Quality meat and cooked perfectly. I born and raised in NYC area. If you are accustomed to high quality Italian there, you will love this place.

Disappointing experience. We sat in the main dining room near a few families. Their children ran around the restaurant and watched their tablets with the volume loud enough to hear. The service was slow and the waiter seemed inexperienced and kept touching the outside of his nose. The food was good, but the experience was marred by the atmosphere. The next time we’ll try sitting at the bar.

Very nice building and prime location in Galveston. An Italian restaurant with a somewhat small menu, but with several good options. On my visit, we tried two dishes: housemade Fettuccine Primavera and Fettuccine Zoodles with Pesto. The portions were good-sized and had an okay flavor, nothing extraordinary. Reservations are recommended, as it's a busy place. For example, in my case, they offered me the option of eating at the bar.

The decor is very nice. It gave me the feeling of a classic, old school restaurant. The food was delicious. I really appreciated the inclusion of veal and fish in the menu. The octopus special was the best I have ever had. None of those dubious taste combinations typical of modern cuisine. However, the menu and the presentation still have a modern flair. Bravo!

We love to go here for happy hour. Great bites everything we try we love. Stormy takes great care of us very attentive. The toasted raviolis, spinach gnocchi, and the caprese are our favs. We will be returning. Stormy is the best bartender she keeps our waters and drinks full! One of the best happy hours on the island. Never got a dish we did not love! The best Alfredo sauce I've ever had.

We really liked the appearance of Riondo’s Restaurant from the outside and decided to try it. We could not be happier with the choice. The food was really good, fresh and authentic. The service was also great, our service could not have been better. The atmosphere is nice and has a really good vibe.
