Fantastic experience. Beautiful old place. Good breakfast. Wonderful service. Incredibly spacious rooms. Only minor flaws were the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak. Some of the workmanship and craftsmanship of carpentry skills and tiling skills were not fantastic. These things would not stop me though from staying here again in the future.

Unfortunately, our stay at George Manor was disappointing because we found several bugs (4) in our room. Cleanliness and hygiene are extremely important when staying at a hotel, and finding bugs in the room made us very uncomfortable. We expected a much better standard of cleanliness and maintenance.

We stayed one night and had a great time. Rosie was incredibly sweet to my three year old son - he still talks about her! Chef Michael served some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted!

An amazing property with lots of history and charm. Graham and his team did an excellent job making us feel welcome. You really don’t find old school good hospitality in America these days. If anyone is in Galveston I would recommend a stay here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at George Manor and couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our wedding night mini honeymoon. I accidentally booked the wrong date, and the owner was incredibly gracious and accommodating. They were more than willing to work with me and even price matched the rate I found through Agoda, which made the whole experience stress-free. The property is beautifully maintained and full of historic Victorian charm while still offering modern comforts and thoughtful upgrades, especially the shower. Every detail felt carefully cared for. Michael was exceptionally kind and professional throughout our stay. He prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, and the beautiful table setting and thoughtfully plated food made the experience feel truly special. They even helped us celebrate with a bottle of champagne in our room for our wedding night, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our mini honeymoon even more memorable. The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of fun attractions and several great restaurants. George Manor offers the perfect combination of hospitality, charm, and comfort. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning!

Outstanding place to stay. The staff is outstanding and professional. Top notch. A lot of history in the place and they will give you a tour. Highly recommend staying here. I will stay here in the future.

The staff was amazing and super welcoming. The property is historic and very cool if you are a history fan. The location is walking distance to the great dining and entertainment venues. The reason for the 4 star review is the property is suffering from noticeable deferred maintenance and is great need of some love. I would hate for such a fantastic property to fall into disrepair

This amazing peice of history was a lovely place to stay pre cruise. Conveniently located a few blocks from the strand in downtown Galveston. The staff is ultra friendly and very helpful. The full English breakfast ( included) was off the charts delicious. Shuttle service to the port available.

Love The George Manor! Amazing service, clean rooms and so much charm! The breakfast Micheal cooked in the morning was delicious and such a treat to wake up too! The manor is a great location for exploring downtown Galveston and has a beautiful courtyard and interior lounge areas that are nice to spend time in. Next time we come I want to try their tea time! Rosie, Valerie, Jeffrey and George Manor staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional! Everything from picking us up from the airport, taking us to the cruise port, to picking us up from the cruise port after our trip, and taking us to the airport again! Thank you George Manor staff for making this such an easy and seamless trip!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we booked the gray room last min and we were not disappointed. The service staff has been AMAZING. Very friendly and helpful. Met the owners and they were great as well! Wonderful atmosphere and environment. Beautiful manor too! I can not say enough good things about George Manor.

We are still staying at this place as I’m writing the review but I wanted to say how FANTASTIC this bed and breakfast has been so far Communication has been great. And the hosts Michael and Rosie have been nothing but wonderful, making amazing breakfast and treating us like family. Will absolutely be coming here again!!!!

The staff is truly incredible, going above and beyond to make sure every moment of your stay is unforgettable. The food was absolutely delicious, and every detail, from the service to the atmosphere, made us feel so special and cared for. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. I can't recommend The George Manor enough — it’s a true gem! We can't wait to come back!

An absolute gem in Galveston! The servicee exceeded our expectations. The morning breakfast was a 5 star experience. Michael & Rosi anticipated what we might need & delivered an unmatched experience. The added touch of beverages & snacks in our room fridge was icing on the cake. Our room was cozy & quaint. Highly recommend The George Manor for your stay in Galveston.

I cannot say enough praise for The George Manor! From the staff to building, from the mural on the wall to the tea served at High Tea Time, everything had a story! The owner was so sweet and took the time to answer every question, the chef was amazing and had so much richness to share of his life, the property and the city itself, the bed gave me the greatest night sleep of my entire life, and the breakfast and tea time were so amazingly authentic it took me back to my time in the UK eating full English breakfasts every week! We will never stay in an overpriced hotel again!

Stayed in the Grande Suite. Comfortable with good size kitchen and living room. Room had everything we needed from coffee to snacks and beer in fridge. Walked two blocks to a great Mexican restaurant. The breakfast was wonderful and consisted of eggs, brats, potatos, fruit, toast, cereal and bacon. Michael and his staff were great hosts.

Wow, what an island gem! I highly recommend staying at the George Manor. The beautifully restored historic home was cozy and comfortable and the English breakfast prepared by master chef Michael De Beyer was absolutely delicious. Owner, Graham George, was gracious and kind and his hospitality made our experience memorable. We will be back!

We had a Great time! I felt very catered to and the staff was so sweet! We needed a place to stay the night of and they were very accommodating! Everything was very clean and put together and the bed was super soft! Everything was very old and pretty and Convenient! Breakfast was very cool and Rosie was very sweet and helpful. And the food was Delicious! Will hopefully get to come again and will recommend to everyone!

This is a place that you will enjoy your stay. The place is so nice and historic. Our room had a living area with desk and large TV. There was a nice kitchen and a big bedroom and bathroom. In the fridge there was snacks and a couple beers and some soda pops as well as water bottles. You are treated like kings and queens. Customer service above and beyond. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. Michael reach by text to make sure that evening if we needed anything. We asked for additional bottle waters and when we got back they were there. We asked for a bucket of ice and when we returned from dinner it was there. Bed was very comfortable and quiet. Wonderful stay. Will come again.
