Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Abel, the bartender at Toujouse, on the first floor of the hotel is AMAZING. The drinks he makes are consistently good. His Espresso Martini and Key Lime (off menu item) Martinis are the best I’ve had! Please ask for him AND try his drinks. You won’t be disappointed.

I stopped by the Tremont Rooftop Bar while planning an upcoming luncheon, and Trish G. was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to show me around, answer all of my questions, and help me plan everything for our group. She was so friendly, patient, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Planning an event for a group can sometimes be stressful, but Trish made everything so easy and made me feel completely comfortable about bringing our ladies there. Her hospitality and customer service truly stood out, and I really appreciated the time and attention she gave me. Thank you, Trish, for being so wonderful and helping make the planning process such a great experience. The Tremont House is very lucky to have you! Today, We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Tremont House Rooftop! We had a luncheon for a group of 16 ladies, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure everyone was comfortable. The service was excellent, the food and atmosphere were wonderful, and every single person we encountered was so friendly and helpful. What impressed me most was the extra care they showed some of the older ladies in our group. Staff members personally helped them with the stairs, assisted them with the cargo lift, and even walked with them down the hallway to make sure they got where they needed to go safely. Those little extra touches meant so much to us. They made our entire group feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Our rooftop luncheon was absolutely fabulous, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone at The Tremont House for taking such wonderful care of our group. We will definitely be back!

As a big supporter of historic hotels, I really hate to do this. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the service is great, but the room was nearly inhospitable. When I arrived, the relative humidity in the room was atrocious… perhaps 80% or more! The sheets felt damp and heavy the entire time. I ran the AC down to 62 in an attempt to remove some moisture from the air but it did very little and the relative humidity likely remained about the same as the temperature dropped. Over two days, my clothes all became damp and musty. I even skipped a shower one day because the room could not handle any additional moisture. There is mold and mildew on the ceiling and the wood floors are starting to buckle from the moisture. The rug felt damp and gross. While I understand that mechanical problems happen, when searching the reviews for ‘humid, humidity’ there are already several. Please address this issue. You have a mechanical problem, HVAC sizing issue, or air leaks in your system. Please take a hygrometer to room 347. An acceptable range is 45-55%. 60% and above is problematic, especially long term. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

The blonde supervisor that works in the evening on the 10th of September 2026 is so nice and helpful. She is extremely professional and truly understands what customer service is about . I will definitely be returning because of her. The room was extremely clean, bed was beyond comfortable, and my experience was all around wonderful. Keep hiring people like her!

Very French/New Orleansy, quiet, close to the strand and the trolley. Live music at night, rooftop bar is small but fun. Great service all the way around. Park in 2100 Market Street Garage.

Service has been outstanding and welcoming. Drove up to the front for valet service, otherwise you need to park and bring your luggage in. Met Daniel (Chapo) and he’s been awesome (valet). He helped get our bags into the room and parked the car. Then they send a text that directs you to their interface to get it or park it 24 hours a day. It’s $36 a day plus tips. I chose to tip via cash otherwise the app adds service fees and not sure it went to the valets. They have to walk to get and drop off your car, so they earn it. They should use a golf cart to help manage it better and faster, but we came when it wasn’t crowded and was a non issue. The rooftop bar was very nice inside and out and Nicholas was on top of all our needs. Even went down to get coffee when non was made (7pm so probably didn’t expect it). Room was very nice and it had a fridge and safe. Water pressure wasn’t the best, but got the job done. Plenty of hot water. There’s NO sister site for a pool anymore. So no pool, but theirs a beach 😁

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable stay. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, are the outstanding staff. From the valet and front desk teams to housekeeping and management, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a great experience. Their willingness to help in any way possible made my stay especially memorable and I loved the hand written personalized note on arrival. Thanks and see you all again soon.

Stayed here over the weekend for two nights. Work and play. I was very impressed with the hotel and all their amenities. Amy and her team at the front desk were amazing: great customer service and super easy check in process. Will be my hotel of choice any time i am in Galveston moving forward. Make sure to check out the rooftop bar as well.

1 street south of the Strand. You are in the middle of and easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants and museums as well as the cruise line terminals. Well appointed and modernized boutique Marriott hotel. Comfortable queen bed, large soft and firm pillows, plenty of sheet and blanket, excellent hot and pressurized showers. No desk space, 1 chair. Appropriate closet and drawer space. Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast is good. Everyone is very friendly. Nic at the valet and butler service is superb. There are stairs to navigate to check-in. If you have multiple luggage pieces, ask for Nic to help with luggage. The rooftop bar has good outside unobstructed skyline views for evening conversation. Recommended!

The Tremont House was the perfect place to host my gf and I's 4 year anniversary! The proximity to various places made it easy to walk to them! A great example of their customer service was when I forgot to pack a bottle opener for a bottle of mead I brought and the ladies in the lobby during the night shift were so pleasant and helpful in procuring one from the Rooftop bar (which was a cool and relaxing spot)! Valet parking for overnight wasn't too pricey and very convenient for picking up and dropping off my car the few times we used it. Blum & Co. was a great dining experience even if we only ordered it through room service. Even with my gf suffering a hangover for most of the day Saturday, she still enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the ambiance of the room even in low light. Glad to have had a refrigerator handy for any drinks we wanted to store. Water was very easily accessible not too far from our room when we wanted a glass before bed. The room felt regal throughout and did not disappoint from any detail! Even the restroom and stand-in shower felt high class with all the space it had. I would gladly stay here again to bring friends or family to enjoy a relaxing experience!

This is a really good place to stay when you sail away on a cruise. Nice rooms and beds and great bar and staff. That was the best pretzel we've ever had. Then we came back later and had the short rib and it was awesome.

Great location to cruise port, walking distance to restaurants. Check-in was quick only thing was our room wasn’t ready but it was worth the wait. Nice and clean and loved the decor of the room. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you want to start your vacation off right.

We had the most incredible experience at The Tremont House in Galveston - especially on our wedding day! Due to the unpredictable Texas weather, we had to completely pivot from our planned beach ceremony the morning of our wedding, and the Tremont team came through in every possible way. Ashley and Jessica were absolute lifesavers. Without hesitation, they jumped in to help us set up, gather decorations, and create a beautiful Plan B with such grace and kindness. Their calm, can-do energy made all the difference and helped turn a stressful situation into something truly magical. The hotel itself is stunning. Our room was beautifully designed - elegant, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The lobby is gorgeous and has such a warm, historic charm, and both the rooftop bar and on-site restaurant were fantastic. We ended up spending two nights there, and every single staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and made us feel completely taken care of. If you're considering a stay in Galveston, especially for a special event, I cannot recommend The Tremont House enough. Their team truly goes above and beyond, and we are so thankful they were a part of our big day!!

We stayed here for one night before a cruise and it was great! We had three rooms and were very impressed with the quality. The high ceilings and large windows were nice, and the location cannot be beat. We easily walked to the port of Galveston with no issue. It's right by The Strand which has lots of cute shops and restaurants which makes for an enjoyable day before your cruise. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Tremont House in Galveston, Texas, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The facility was impeccably clean, which instantly set a high standard for the stay. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Any requests we made were handled with remarkable efficiency and excellence—truly top-notch service. Although we stayed across the street in the suites and didn’t fully experience the inside of the main hotel, every time we visited, it was a positive and pleasant encounter. The atmosphere inside the hotel exuded charm and hospitality. One highlight of our visit was enjoying coffee and scones at the on-site bakery. Both were absolutely delicious and added a warm, indulgent touch to our trip. Overall, The Tremont House offered a memorable stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Galveston.

Review of the Illuminate Event in Galveston, Texas and This Breathtaking Hotel- I recently had the pleasure of attending the “Illuminate” event on March 20th, organized by Sarah Piel and her dedicated team. The experience was nothing short of outstanding! Held in the picturesque historic downtown cultural arts district of Galveston, this event showcased a vibrant mix of creativity and talent. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the array of amazing vendors, artists, and musicians proudly displaying their unique works. One of the highlights was the Art Car, which added a delightful twist to the atmosphere and complemented the outdoor music venue perfectly. The energy permeating the streets of downtown GTX was palpable and inviting, making it an ideal setting for an arts celebration. The Illuminate event not only offered a feast for the eyes but also an auditory delight. The Candlelight Symphony performance left a lasting impression on me; it was a breathtaking experience that truly moved my spirit. It’s clear that events like these not only promote local talent but also foster community connections. I encourage anyone interested in the arts to spend a day in Galveston’s cultural arts district. With such an incredible lineup of talent and creativity on display, you won't be disappointed. I plan to share more detailed reviews on specific artists and some memorable photographs soon, as there is so much to celebrate! A heartfelt thank you to Bonnie Blue, Sarah Piel, and the entire team for allowing TTKids to participate with the Chalk It Up Art Car. This event was a true privilege, and I can't wait for the next opportunity to join in such a fantastic art collaboration. What an awesome time indeed!
