Tonight was my birthday and I chose Yamatos. For more than 30 years I have ate at this establishment. I often consider it my favorite on the island. Hence why I chose it for my birthday dinner. Tonight was a disappointment. It started without the quintessential rice toss that I usually miss. The Choo-choo train and the little boy that puts out the fire. Then the rice was not prepared correctly missing the onions and carrots. The chicken had mushrooms although I asked for no mushrooms. I paid extra for double rice but didn’t not recieve a double serving. The chicken and steak were not prepared the same and lacked the teriyaki sauce. When I told Mrs. Lisa of my disappointment she did not do anything.

Yamatos never ceases to amaze. The fresh, tasty, and expertly constructed sushi is top notch. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is relaxed. However, sometimes party animals can be loud.

Very good sushi. The service is well versed in gluten-free nutrition. There is even an extra menu with gluten-free sushi.
We went there twice in 3 days because we enjoyed it so much.

Went there for dinner, atmosphere reminds of Japan in 2000s, the food was good for the money, lychee sake paired great with everything!

Excellent Sushi restaurant! The Sashimi was so fresh and delicious personally recommend the yellow tail! Their specialty rolls were also very good and had some different combination i haven't had before. Loved the grasshopper roll! Can be a little pricey but that could also be because we ate so much!

This place was outstanding! Maggie our server was crazy awesome, we just asked for her to serve us what she would think we liked to eat and it did not disappoint! The chefs were also on point. I can’t recommend this place enough for atmosphere friendly staff and super delicious fresh sushi.

Chef Tony is the MAN! If y’all go to hibachi make sure you ask for him specifically! Always enjoy ourselves here! Freshest sushi on the island and Always a superb experience!!!
