I wanted a nice steak but didn’t want to go to the more formal restaurant on the roof top terrace. So, I ordered a ribeye with black butter and some seasonal vegetables. It was PERFECT! The steak was tender and coked perfectly. The seasonal vegetable were cooked al dented and not much. And the service was great!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Our server, Tia, was truly exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful throughout our entire meal. Her service really made the experience excellent and made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The food was delicious, but Tia’s outstanding service is what truly stood out to us. We will definitely be back and hope to have her as our server again! Highly recommend!

My husband and I got a weekend package at Moody Gardens and the Moody Hotel, which included our meals at Cafe in the Park. Aurelia, our breakfast server was awesome! She made us feel really taken care of by explaining what was apart of our package and anticipating our needs before we even needed to ask, which included bringing a carafe of hot coffee for the table and all of the sauces we needed. Thank you, Aurelia! Hope to see you again!

I really enjoyed the variety of food on the buffet and the friendliness of the staff. I particularly enjoyed Corey, who went the extra mile to tell me about attractions in Galveston. I still think he looks like Eddie Murphy🤣🤣🤣

My wife and I stayed just for one night at Moody Gardens Hotel before sailing on a Caribbean cruise. We had lunch at the Cafe - and it was fabulous! The lobster bisque soup is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The gumbo soup is a close second - I personally love okra and there was a lot of it in the soup. Our server, Tommie, treated us like royalties with utmost attention and care. We really felt pampered. All around - five stars!

We stopped at the café for an early dinner and received excellent service from Vera, who greeted us with a smile. She was very knowledgeable in describing the various menu choices, and helped us choose a dish. She was also very attentive to needs including ensuring that our drinks were refilled before even asking. Our food was delicious, and we highly recommend this place.

We had the both the crab stuffed poblano and red fish, along with the fried shrimp as our main meals. While there, we decided to order two strawberry salads with grill shrimp, as well as the berry bread pudding. Unfortunately, we did not get pictures of the main meals, but a picture of the to-go items. This was our second visit, atmosphere is relaxed, the views are picturesque and service above par. Chef Lilly prepared the meals and this time around, Kendric was our server. This was worth the 30 mile drive from our home.

I had such an enjoyable lunch at Cafe in the Park. I got the buffet between sessions at the conference I was attending and had a relaxing lunch with a friend. The food was warm, crisp, and perfectly filling. The barbecue chicken was very flavorful, the shrimp was the perfect texture, the pizza was delicious, and the desserts were scrumptious. Nikki was a fantastic waitress and anticipated our every need while allowing us to engage in deep conversation. She was very kind and attendant, and made me feel so comfortable in this space. Thank you!

Not sure why the ratings are so low- the food, atmosphere, service, and presentation were all top notch. Our server was very personable as well! I wish I had more space in my stomach to eat more; the desserts looked amazing.

There was dirty tables which made no sense restaurant not busy. My food was wonderful however service was not. Never got my refill and I think the server Rose probably needs a attitude adjustment and look more presentable. I got the jumbalaya pasta it was to die for. I know this is not a Michelin restaurant but that dish needs to be in one.

We had lunch, our waitress was Ariel she was friendly and respectful, and attentive. I had the Texas burger, it came with fries. The burger had ham bacon cheese sauce and pickled jalapenos, the burger was cooked as order and had good flavor. The fries where steak, they were crispy on the outside with a soft center

Our light lunch at cafe in the park was so delicious. The ambiance was incredible and our server Tommie was very attentive! She checked back in frequently, made sure we were enjoying everything, and kept our drinks well filled. We got the lobster bisque and the nachos with shrimp for a light tapas style lunch and we could not have gone wrong, highly highly highly recommend!

I enjoyed a late dinner at Cafe in the Park and it was more than I expected. For sure coming back. I just wanted something light after driving from Houston. My choice was avocados filled with shrimp grilled tomatoes and a lobster bisque. Delicious!

Have been to this restaurant twice and I have to say that me and my family enjoy the food and service. It does take a little while if you need extra condiments or a refill but overall the waiters are very nice and help out as much as they can. We have been to breakfast and dinner and both times we were treated great. If your are staying at the hotel kids 6 and under eat free with a paid adult entree so that is a plus for us since we have little ones.
