Was given recommendation from a worker at the Whitewater Carwash. Made a reservation & called later on to confirm dress attire. My husband was told business casual, no shorts. We arrived just before 6pm, we're seated immediately on the patio outside per our request. Aaron was our server, he recommended a few items offered to tells us the "specials for the evening ", though we told him he didn't need to if it was only seafood, as my husband was allergic & I did not like. He was a little shocked but he took our drink order, offered his favorite steak which we took him on that , placed our ordered but mentioned that we were sharing our meal. We ordered the NY strip, medium rare, potatoes & green beans then he asked if we wanted anything else, maybe a salad which we hot a Ceasars salad, no croutons for me but my husband wanted them Aaron offered to put them on side. Once the stack was brought to our table, asked us to cut & confirm if it was cooked to our order, when we cut it we were going to accept even though we asked for med rare. It was actually like a medium well, he asked us to hold on. He had a manager come to our table, she took it & said she would make it right within minutes she showed back up, asked us to cut into it & appeared exactly the way we ordered. Aaron came back to apologize but it wasn't his fault & he and my husband exchanged a few jokes. The food was exceptional, the steak had the best flavor, potatoes were very tasty & green beans were very tasteful & I enjoyed them very much! Aaron kept checking on us & then offered dessert, gave his recommendation though we chose the chocolate eruption. When he returned with dessert he had a candle in it & had Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. He even joined in with me singing HB to my husband. Our entire meal was so good & service was impeccable! Nothing I could ask for to make it a great experience! Loved Aaron, he was very attentive, knew the menu well! Overall, food was the beat we had so far on our 1st ever trip to Galveston! All thanks to the car wash attendant!

Willie G's is a MUST every time I visit Galveston! I always try to meet up with friends and family here for the great seafood and steaks! Their Happy Hour is the BEST I've ever experienced, anywhere! I love this place! The service is exceptional, professional, and friendly!

The food was really good, the steak was perfect and the seafood was good. We went a bit early so it was not packed but started filling up before we left. A very nice place to eat with great service

Rarely do I give all 5 stars, but great service and food at the Willy Gs bar and staff. Bartenders Cristo and others were attentive, funny, polite and hard working. They worked well as a team and all helped make the customer service experience outstanding.

Our waitress did a fantastic job serving us. There are outdoor seating. Even though it was cold there were heaters outside. The only thing I wasn't happy about is we were told we shouldn't have issues exiting the parking lot because we provided our license plate to our waitress and she approved the exit. Well that didn't happen. We were stuck in the parking lot and couldn't exit because the exit arm wouldn't lift up. So my husband went back to the restaurant talk to someone. And that person was exceptionally rude and disrespectful.

We are frequent visitors to Galveston and have never been to Willy G’s. Our first experience was absolutely amazing. We sat on the back patio and it was serene. The food was sooooo good. Great flavors, good portion sizes, and the wine list is great as well. Leaving the best for last our server JJ was out of this world! Best service we have had in a LONG time! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and great to talk to! He recommended some food to us and hit the nail on the head! He talked very highly of the other staff and the owner as well! We will definitely be going back next time we are down there!

Had an awesome daytime late lunch. Ordered off of the bar menu and the happy hour menu. Got the shrimp and oyster combo, the 3 ounce surf and turf, the seafood dip and the calamari. We enjoyed all of these dishes. Also had a bloody Mary, margarita, chocolate martini & a lemon drop. Martini. All drinks were delicious. Topped it off with the dessert treats, which was four small sizes of a chocolate dessert, Keylime pie, cheesecake and bread pudding. Icing on the cake was our server Jamie. She was delightful and very attentive.

UPDATE: **We've been coming here for years and loved this place but in the last couple years we've noticed a significant decline in quality of food and service. This last time was so bad we won't return. I ordered oysters and what I received were shriveled and small, and they don't usually look that way. Then we started eating them and they tasted TERRIBLE! They were clearly bad. My husband's steak was covered in bristle fibers from the butter brush. His next steak they replaced it with was a salt lick. Overall the meal was bad. Each time we've come here it's like they care less and less because they are well situated with a view and know they will get customers so they don't have to try as hard. The service used to be excellent and it's just mediocre. So disappointed in their decline and won't be back.**

We go here every time we make it to Galveston and it never disappoints! I always get oysters and martinis and they are always fresh and drinks well made. The lobster bisque is also delicious! Everything we've tried here is delicious, the service is great and the view is nice.

We had a wonderful experience there today. The service was outstanding! We both ordered the shrimp platter. The shrimp was fresh and so delicious! The flavors left my palate wanting more, if my stomach wasn't so full. Don't forget to walk around to see the cruise ships. I highly recommend this restaurant. 👍👍👍

My wife and me had the shrimp platter. It was a wonderful mix of different shrimp
It had a great taste. While waiting on the food the waiter brought two pieces of garlic bread, which was wonderful. We had peach cobbler with icecream it was great. The service was fantastic.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was unbelievable! Will always come back for more.

If I knew the every chef in the kitchens name, I would name all of them cause this was the best meal I have ever had.

The food was very delicious. We had oyster Rockefeller and lobster bisque for appetizers. Our entrees were blackened snapper Lafitte and shrimp and snapper suga Rosa. It was absolutely delicious. The snapper was well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

I recommend calling to reserve a table but you will probably still wait.

Great food. My wife and I enjoy stopping by for lunch each time we come to Galveston. The bisque is our favorite. It tastes different that we remember. I like my soup to be soup but it was a little thick. Entree was excellent. Service was great. Gabriela was a great waitress. She was attentive and sweet. Thanks for a great experience.

Absolutely the best seafood and dinner in Galveston and pet friendly patio with great views of the harbor. Ask for Robert, he is a great server and tells you all the best recommendations and great service.

This is my second time visiting Willie G’s Seafood and Steaks. It was just as amazing as my first visit.

The food is top notch, the ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. The wine list is very good, along with a wide assortment of cocktail options.

Our waitress Gaby was super friendly and kindhearted. She made our visit even better with her dinner recommendations coupled with perfect wine pairing.

If you’re near the Strand drop by and enjoy lunch or dinner at this fabulous restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Best view and amazing food. Great place to feel like you on vacation but not, must try the snapper and shrimp suga rosa and the chopped spinach salad that the toss table side.

This is an upscale restaurant by the harbor, but without a dress code so you can walk in off the street. We were seated quickly and our order was taken promptly. We had gumbo and the seafood quesadillas. I also ordered a margarita. Our server, Esta, was pleasant and friendly but wasn’t around very much. Our food came before my margarita but I drank it anyway. 😉. The food was good and we will be back.

We had a great lunch here today! I had the red snapper and my wife had chicken fettuccine and both were fantastic! Plus lobster bites and we got to see dolphins at the pier.
